Barney my first dog, a Bichon Frise has been with me since 2013 and is the classic Bichon personality, curly, fluffy, loving, jealous and mad!  He showed me the path of “dog ownership” along which i travelled and found my second dog Max, a rescue who has endeared himself to all who meet him.  Max came into my life around 9 months old in 2014 after a shaky start with his previous owners.  I believe he is a Bichon with maybe a bit of Maltese in him – he is not a traditional in anyway but utterly devoted and knows his own mind!

Then I met Frank (also known as Funk and the funkmeister – due to his funky beard that makes it’s way into everything he smells).  Frank is a miniature Schnauzer (although to be honest there is little about him that is miniature including his personality).  He has the wild dog spirit of the outdoors and spends most of his time outside wondering at nature – or just chasing pigeons and squirrels.  I met Frank in 2016 and he is my youngest.

It is through these three amazing animals that i have come to realise that dogs are not just a big part of my life, but are my life.  As we spent time together,  I realised there was no one central resource where I could find information, reviews and support and interactions with other like-minded dog owners.   it was often hard to find, across many different websites and in a lot of different formats.
